Important Warnings
Before starting the installation, read carefully:
Backup
Create full backup of store and database
Compatibility
Check that the extension is compatible with your OpenCart version
Rights
Make sure you admin access and FTP credentials (if necessary)
Step 1: Identification of File Type
Specify the type of file you downloaded to select the correct installation method:
Recommended method Recommended: OCMOD Extension Installer
.ocmod.zip Your file supports automatic installation through OpenCart's Extension Installer. This is the fastest and safest method.
Alternative method Manual Installation via FTP
.zip Your file needs manual installation via FTP. Follow the installation FTP guide below.
OCMOD Extension Installer
Recommended method for .ocmod files. zip

Access to Extension Installer
- Login to OpenCart management panel
- Go to Extensions > Installer
- Make sure you see the "Extension Installer" page

OCMOD File Upload
- Click the button Choose File
- Select the file .ocmod.zip you downloaded
- Click on Upload to start transhipment
- Wait for process completion

Expansion Facility
- After successful download, find the extension in the list
- Click the button Install next to the name of the extension
- Wait for the success message
- The extension is now installed but not activated

Enable Extension
- Go to Extensions > Extensions
- Select the appropriate expansion type from dropdown
- Find the extension and click on Install
- Then click on Edit for settings

Manual Installation (FTP)
For normal .zip files or when OCMOD does not work

FTP/SFTP connection
- Connect to your store server
- Host, username, password and port
- Use SFTP instead of FTP if available

Decompress File
- Uncompress .zip file on your computer
- Make sure all files are properly decompressed
- Check the structure of folders (you should see admin/, catalog/ etc.)

Download Files
- Open your FTP client (FileZilla, WinSCP etc)
- Go to the main OpenCart folder (where the index is. php)
- Make sure folder structure is maintained
- Wait for completion of all downloads

File Rights:
- Envelopes: 755 or 775 for folders
- Files: 644 or 664 for files
- Use the chmod command in FTP client

Complete these important controls to ensure smooth operation and activation of the expansion:
- Clean all caches (Data, Theme, SASS)
- Refresh the modifications
- Check the right type of extension on dropdown
- Check the error logs
- Connect to the license. opencartgreece. gr
Known issues
OpenCart 3.x limits which folders can be written to during OCMOD extension installation. Some of our plugins also require write access to the system folder so their library files and OCMOD files can be installed correctly.
