WHAT IT RECORDS

Events from the store, not assumptions

The plugin adds the Meta Pixel to every storefront page and sends the events you enable: PageView, product ViewContent, Search, AddToCart, AddToWishlist, InitiateCheckout, AddPaymentInfo, Purchase, CompleteRegistration and Contact. Category ViewContent is optional and off by default.

Purchase is sent once per order and session with an eventID for deduplication, and includes the order total and currency. It represents checkout completion, not confirmation that a payment provider has settled the funds.

EVENTS

Which events are sent

Every event has its own switch per store. The notes below describe where each event fires.

  • PageView Once on every page, with a noscript fallback image.
  • ViewContent (product) On product pages, including SEO URLs, with contents, value and currency.
  • ViewContent (category) Optional, as a product_group with the category ID; off by default.
  • AddToCart From the AJAX cart response, without a second write.
  • AddToWishlist For guests and signed-in customers.
  • InitiateCheckout When checkout opens with a non-empty cart.
  • AddPaymentInfo When the customer selects a payment method.
  • Purchase Once per order, with an eventID plus total and currency.
  • Search On search results, with the term and product IDs.
  • CompleteRegistration After account registration or checkout registration.
  • Contact After a contact form is sent successfully.

SETTINGS

Pixel ID, consent and local statistics

Everything is configured from OpenCart admin, with separate values for each store.

Per-store settings

Pixel ID and event toggles are saved per store, so each storefront sends only what you select.

Consent mode

With CSL Cookie Consent, tracking starts revoked and is granted only after marketing consent. If the module is absent, the option stays hidden.

Advanced matching

Optionally sends SHA-256 hashed email, phone, name, country and external ID. Enable it only when consent covers that use.

Local statistics

KPIs, daily chart, top products and recent events, with 7/30/90-day filters and 1–365 day retention.

COMPATIBILITY

OpenCart 3.x and Meta Events Manager

The plugin is an analytics extension for OpenCart 3.x. The Pixel ID is the 15–16 digit value from Meta Events Manager > Data sources.

  • OpenCart 3.x
  • Per-store settings
  • Greek and English admin
  • 3-day trial or €39.99 full version

FAQ

Meta Pixel questions

Which events does the plugin send?

PageView, product ViewContent, Search, AddToCart, AddToWishlist, InitiateCheckout, AddPaymentInfo, Purchase, CompleteRegistration and Contact. Category ViewContent is optional and off by default.

How is a second Purchase avoided for the same order?

Purchase fires once per order and session and carries an eventID. Refreshing the success page does not create another Purchase. The event represents checkout completion, not payment settlement.

Can each store use a different Pixel ID?

Yes. The Pixel ID and event toggles are saved per store, so each storefront sends its own events.

How does it work with CSL Cookie Consent?

When enabled, tracking starts revoked and is granted only after the visitor accepts the marketing category. If CSL Cookie Consent is not installed, the option is hidden.

What does advanced matching send?

Optionally SHA-256 hashed email, phone, name, country and external ID. Use it only when customer consent covers that data.

What do the local statistics show?

The events emitted by the extension, with KPIs, a daily chart, top products and recent events. They do not confirm receipt by Meta or attribute sales to campaigns.

Where do I find the Meta Pixel ID?

In Meta Events Manager > Data sources. It is a 15–16 digit number copied into the plugin setting for each store.

What does Debug logging do?

It logs every event in the browser console for testing. Enable it temporarily and turn it off afterwards.

Does it work with SEO URLs and the AJAX cart?

Yes. Product ViewContent covers SEO URLs and AddToCart reads the AJAX cart response, writing to one notification field so the event is not recorded twice.

Which OpenCart version is supported, and what does it cost?

The plugin is for OpenCart 3.x. It is available as a 3-day trial or full version for €39.99 from the OpenCart Greece e-shop.
