Transfer policy

What stays free and what does not

The main rule is simple: one license maps to one domain. The free transfer window applies only right after the purchase.

€0

Free transfer during the first 10 days

If the request is sent within the first 10 calendar days after the order is completed, the transfer is processed without extra cost.

New license

After 10 days a new purchase is required

Once the free window closes, the move is treated as a new license for the new domain and priced accordingly.

One license covers one domain only

The license belongs to a specific domain or subdomain, not to the business as a whole. Multiple stores need separate licenses.

Request flow

What to send when you want a transfer inside the free window

The more complete the first email is, the faster the review can be completed.

  1. 01

    Collect the purchase details

Find the order number, the domain that currently holds the license, and the new domain you want to activate.

  2. 02

Send the request through the right channel

Use the billing desk or an email with a clear transfer subject so the case is routed correctly.

  3. 03

Wait for confirmation before changing setup

The license becomes active on the new domain only after the team confirms the transfer.

Email content

Details the request must include

  • Order number
  • The current domain tied to the license
  • The new domain or subdomain
  • Extension name
  • The email used during purchase

Required conditions

Three rules that must be true

  • The request was sent within the first 10 days after the order was completed
  • The date of the request email is used as the deadline proof
  • The order is paid and the license is still active

Frequently misunderstood cases

What counts as a new domain and what needs extra review

These are the scenarios where the transfer rule is misunderstood most often.

Changing the domain name

If the domain name changes, it is treated as a new domain. That means the 10-day rule still applies, or a new license is needed after the window.

Main domain and subdomain are not the same

A license for example.com does not automatically cover shop.example.com, and the reverse is also true.

From staging to production

If you need to move from staging to production, the team must be able to confirm that both environments belong to the same project and business.

Frequently asked questions

What stores ask before they change domain

Fast answers to the most common transfer scenarios.

Can I use the same license on two different domains?

No. Each license covers one domain. If you need the extension on a second store, a second license is required.

What happens if I change the domain name?

A domain rename counts as a new domain. Inside the free window you can request a transfer, but after that a new license is required.

Does the license cover subdomains on the same root domain?

No. The license is issued for the exact domain or subdomain declared during the purchase.

Can I move a license from staging to production?

Yes, as long as staging and production belong to the same project and the team has been informed before the transfer is completed.

Need a second review?

Do you want confirmation before changing the domain?

Send the case to the billing desk with the order number, old domain, and new domain. If support coverage is changing at the same time, review renewal status as well.
